Amy Banzaert, Founder of WeLab and Advisor to WES
Professor Banzaert received her doctoral degrees from MIT in Mechanical Engineering in association with the MIT D-Lab. She is developing Wellesley's introductory engineering options, with emphasis on humanitarian projects for local and international communities. Her courses (e.g. ENGR160, ENGR120/125) provide students with project-based opportunities to learn engineering problem-solving, estimation, creativity, and product development, and to understand how these skills are applicable across disciplines. Christina Holman, Founder
Class of 2017, Economics and Engineering with a Certificate of Sustainability Christina was a student assistant for the Wellesley Engineering Laboratory, coordinator for the Office of Sustainability's Bike Share program, and a registered tutor for Physics and Economics courses. She has participated in Wellesley Energy and Environmental Defense (WEED), Ethos, Cerebral Science Investigations and the Economic Student Association, in addition to performing research for and building a dark matter detector.
